It has been lightly overcast for two days here and people are complaining about the weather. Roe, however, is grateful for the shade. It’s about 5 degrees to warm for him in the middle of the day and he’s continued to have on-again off-again itchy skin. Currently, he’s on Benadryl and that seems to be keeping it at bay. We’ve also given him a spiffy new haircut which doesn’t do much for his social life – but has picked up some speed by improving his aerodynamics’.
For a change, Paul and I went to a play this weekend. We saw the original production of “I Am My Own Wife” on it’s second to last night. I briefly felt like I was visiting New York again – the quality of work was so wonderful and the play itself was incredible fascinating. Afterwards, we strolled an outdoor mall and then went to Flemmings Steakhouse for a very good steak. We accidentally found ourselves eating next to the Dallas Cowboys. They were staying at the nearby Hyatt before today’s game and it seems were also in the mood for a good steak. We commented this morning on the group of 20+ football sized guys who had on VERY nice suits and were better accessorized than I was but didn’t realize until today’s paper who they were. My poor brothers will probably cry when they read this.
I’ve spent the morning on the phone tracking down some fraudulent charges on my credit card. I must say, the thief has excellent taste. I’ve gotten all kinds of information on them and gotten almost every penny back. We’ll see what happens tomorrow once the credit card company takes it all and starts working on the issue. The people I’ve been dealing with I must say are prime examples of what good customer service can be. They’ve all been helpful, sympathetic and most of all efficient and swift in the restoration of funds. A tip I’ve learned, you should change your address with all credit cards and banks immediately the day you move. We did and apparently it prevented almost every purchase from actually shipping out but I had know idea that move months are considered especially dangerous.
Paul’s out sweeping the back porch and watering the plants while I’m in her “working” on a presentation for a meeting tomorrow. I’ve got 6 weeks to refine and complete my Flash presentation before it gets sent to China for our Olympic bid. This afternoon we’re having some folks over for dinner and then it’s back to work. Hope you all have a great week!
