Birthday With the In-Laws and Out-Laws
I used to hate my birthday being on 12/24. You could never have a party on the day, and even if you pushed it back a month then you have to contend with Thanksgiving. Going to a bar on my 21st was more depressing than a rite of passage. But that was then and this is now and having passed over 1/3 of a century two years ago and moved 1,750 miles to the left and down from my family I enjoy the opportunity I have every year to spend it with them.

Hotlanta Layover
How do you get discount airline prices from an old-school carrier that starts with a “D” and ends with “elta”? Schedule it months in advance and be willing to fly from SAN to ICT via ATL and have a 6.5 hour layover to boot. It wasn’t supposed to be this bad but we got hosed big time on the flight reschedules.

Candid(ate) Questions
I don’t consider myself a card carrying Democrat, even though I have less issues with the far left than I do the far right. With the early primaries nigh I’ve started thinking about the next Prez, and what exactly I’m looking for in a candidate. So in easy bullet point format (but in no particular order) here’s the questions I want answers for before anyone gets my vote.
