Eve 0.8 has started to crawl forwards in the last week. We took a break from the house this weekend and went to the local park late on a sunny day. The swings were fun but once we set her down on the green grass it was all over.
It got pretty hot here last week. 87 degrees may not seem like much to midwesterners (or people who live inland for that matter) but when you don’t have any A/C it can get oppressive. So I picked up a $4 kiddie pool on Saturday and cooled off Eve 0.6 before her afternoon nap.
She was so thankful she wanted to give me a smooch.
We went out to family dinner last night since Amy’s out of town for the next few days on business. I think Amy’s more pleased with Eve’s shiny shoes than Eve. So I’m at home on a Sunday with the kid. All alone. Flying solo. We took a nap together. I think it’ll work out fine.
While the six of us were wandering the exhibition hall at Comic-Con on Friday my brother got accosted by a small woman with a microphone and attending cameraman. The wife and I were playing with our nephew. Fast foward to 2:04 to see the results.
If you’ve been paying attention I’ve returned to posting on this blog on a semi-regular basis since the beginning of May. Well now I get to let you all know why I thought I’d dust off the Interweb soapbox.
I’d like to (finally) publically announce my impending fatherhood. Some time right around the new year the wife and I will welcome a new human into the world that we made ourselves. We’re very excited and a little scared. Everything is going well with the pregancy so far. More updates as news warrants. Stay tuned!
