I’m going to post for a bit about a pen-n-paper roleplaying game. It’s nowhere near as a consuming hobby for me as video games, but I’ve been playing and reading RPGs* for about 20 years starting back with Dungeons and Dragons in the 7th grade.
Warhammer was the second RPG I played. Towards the end of my six week leave to welcome Eve into the world I started to get the hang of the whole father thing** so I picked up the new third edition of the Warhammer Fantasy Role Play game (WFRP3) and started reading. I even convinced Amy and a few friends to play a couple of sessions. We had fun and I hope to start it back up once we complete the move to the new house and get settled in.
Here’s two videos giving you an overview of the game. There’s some really great mechanics and ideas in this game. It’s not like old school RPGs and I think it’s better than D&D 4th edition and Savage Worlds. I’ll post more about it in September hopefully coinciding with the restart of our game!
